friend Jenny let us borrow. She had front row
seat and she liked being a part of whatever the others are doing

Today we were supposed to go to the beach with some friends but had to cancel because Madison had a fever most of the night so wanted to keep her home to watch her. she doesn't have her fever but she isn't back to her self yet. So I thought I would have some fun today with them since the kids really wanted to go to the beach. So we have made tents together, played computer games together and then we ordered pizza. while waiting for the pizza we made cookies and the kids decorated them. so been a busy morning but a fun one. I love playing with my kids....housework will have to hold off for another day :)

sunday july 26

Sunday morning we found Andrew entertaining Cailyn in the playroom. It was so sweet. Cailyn was even talking to him. and then I took a picture of Andrew dressed in his Sunday clothes...he was all smiles for the camera :)

this was the first time my kids had been on bikes. Nathanael did really well and Madison did fine too if you helped her a little. She just kept wanting to brake instead of peddle.

Thursday morning we all went to a park. The kids had a blast and it was such a beautiful day too! Right before leaving we remembered that we hadn't gotten a picture of all the cousins so we sat them down on this bench and well, at least they are all sitting :) Cailyn kept crying and someone was always looking somewhere else or trying to get down. Oh well, at least they are all there. Next time I am going to record us trying to get them all sitting down and trying to get them to smile instead of taking the picture :)

my little nephew, skyler, who just turned one

this morning the kids got up early of course because they were so excited to play with their cousins. but when they came upstairs, the cousins were still sleeping so they had some time with granny. She made them pancakes with chocolate chips, which they loved, then they played with cars out on the porch while waiting for their cousins to get up. for lunch my brother n law watched all the kids except cailyn, while me and my sister and mom went to panara bread...yummy! thanks shawn for watching the kids!

the other day I pulled out the "moon sand" and played with the kids. Even cailyn had to be down there to watch the kids play...has to be where the action is :)
today we went over to Sarah's house to play. brought over a little wading pool so the kids could play in it. Usually no one except nathanael plays in the water when we are over there but today even andrew and megan got in. They all had lots of fun.
Cailyn has found her fingers to suck on but I am trying to take them out and put a paci instead because I don't want finger suckers....too hard to get them off that....

Saturday we went to the American market at the National Harbor. There weren't many vegetables and fruits so don't think I will be going back. I did pick up some green beans, potatoes and this huge yellow squash. we had an all veggie dinner on saturday night...yummy...love garden veggies! Cailyn was watching me snap the beans so I gave her one...don't think she liked it :)
On tuesday we went to the beach with Cindy Hall and her girls. It was another beautiful day at the beach. we were there for over 4 hrs that day. Andrew still loved playing in the sand and staying far from the water :) here he is covered in sand and eating a oatmeal cookie cindy brought...you can always count on cindy to bring the junk food....and my kids love it :)

nathanael has no problem getting in....my little water bug...he is now going under and holding his breath.

my little princess....she did get sunburn that day. mommy had put sunscreen on but forgot to reapply it...she was a tough trooper and hardly complained of it hurting...I felt so bad though....
